My First Publicly-Viewed Blog....

Ever felt that you weren't a single person but a kind of trinity i.e. 3 in 1. I ain't sure where I got this idea from, perhaps the Holy Trinity from Christianity (God as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit) or maybe even from our own Hindu Mythology (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva).

Whatever the origination of the idea, I really do believe that we can all find 3 "people" in each of us. In my case, atleast for the sake of this blog, I refer to my three personas as "Me", "Myself" and "Shank".

Let me try prove to you that we're all 3 in one's. Think of the "aura" any person could have with him at any instant of time - Positive (Happy, Optimistic, etc.), Negative (Sad, Angry, Depressed, etc.) and Neutral. Wouldn't you agree that your stream of thought in each of these phases for a common event would be radically different?? Hence, isn't it logical that your basically kinda like a time-shared system with your brain and body as the shared resources with three processes trying to access these resources??!!!

The basic reason I bring this up is coz, of late, I've started wondering why the same amount of input, by the same person, who is also surrounded by the same environmental conditions can bring about completely different outputs. Haven't you ever experienced such a thing?? I unforunately had to bear the brunt of such a situation in terms of my SGPA in my 2-2 and 3-1.

How about one more example. Have you ever gone through a phase of life where you know that whatever you're doin is wrong and yet you still carry on doing whatever it is. And all of a sudden one day once you stop doing it and look back as to why you did it and you just can't come to terms as to how you even made the decision to do it. You feel as if it was someone else's decision but not your "natural" decision do to such a thing. You just can't believe that you were the one who did it and you get this weird, inexplicable feeling that it just wasn't you who did it!!

I'm not too sure how many others have ever had such feelings but I am of the opinion that everyone has gone through atleast one such phase.

So, I sincerely request who all have read this blog of mine to pass a comment on my "trinity" theory. I'll continue it depending on the type of response I get.....

Hmmmm....seems to be an interestin concept...lets hope we cud find more examples to prove the importance of "3"....wud be a nice mix of math nd philo..

Though i have an intuition dat its more than 3 processes which r occupying our resources...a 4th state being one which chooses any of the 3 specified states....!!!

Hey,that sure is some theory! Many a time I've felt both sad and happy..And,that statement about not believing that you've done something you shouldn't have in the past is so true..!!! I really wonder how could I have taken some decisions that I took for myself and that too against my own wish!!!

Hey Shank that is quite an interesting theory, although I partially agree with Narri in saying that we should look upon the significance of the number 3...before we can make a generic statement.I say partially, since I believe the number may be less than 3 contrary to his line of thought.

Another thing that came to my mind while I was reading was that the Personality of a person is not a constant...for better or worse,it evolves with time.It may also not be too inaccurate to say that a variance in these behavourial patterns need not necessarily be attributed to multiple personalities of an individual...it may indicate the wheel of change or evolution(in a manner of speaking) of personality instead.Well anyways this is great work, a good beginning ...keep updating this :D .

Whoa! Shank, quite a theory that one! u've sure steeped into the bloggin world with a bang!!!

Comin to your theory, well, I do believe there is a trinity in everything, be it God, us humans or nature. And the way we respond to situations & circumstances is infact influenced by wat process is in charge of the brain (body's CPU).

However as far as screwin or acing up grades and other such stuff is concerned, i feel that it has more to do with factors beyond our control than with factors within. The same effort results in different outcomes in different times, coz we can only control one of the contributing factors. The other factors are not in our hands.

Looking forward to more such insightful posts!

N for ppl interested in reading some crap, you can visit THIS for my blog which uncannily, though unintentionally, has a similar title.

Using os concepts in philosophy :)

everybody went through such stage. I think it is the state of mind at that time, prevailing conditions ,frenzy of a new fad and environment are responsible for such decisions. Over a period of time one will grow(due to wisdom) to understand the flaws in that path and it is natural to abandon and detest it. When we contemplate on that, we may feel that it is so unlike of us to resort to such way and might blame it on someone else's provoking.

Hello Shashank,
I am the owner of the blogspot in which you had read the story "He continues to smile..."I feel no matter how lively human being is and takes total responsibility for his own life, sometimes some unexpected things happen which are above his understanding and becomes so helpless that the human yields and consoles himself saying it was the Will of God.The girl though she was this very lively person who took life totally in her stride,God did something as dangerous like a sea wave and death swallowed her,she was helpless, she had no role to play, she couldn't resist the diabolic wave...
The man who smiles I am referring to is God.If you see Idols in temples, they are all neatly carved stone impressions we call God and get so attached and weave our belief system around Him(or Idol symbolising God)and then we go through certain things we don't find answers to,no matter how hard we try, but still the Idol remains the same, beautiful and smiling always...
I had written this when my faith was dwindling a little because of a few things...
Thank you for reading my blog.
I liked your Blog too...
Regards,
Shruti.

Are you referring to Intellect(Mind),Feelings(Heart) and Conscience? which are the three things which speak inside you always and integration of these three sometimes becomes difficult?I never really thought in these terms, probably I will start thinking now...
Probably these Brahma,Vishnu and Maheswara are just metaphors which basically depict the Human Being?
I don't really know I am just trying to analyse...
Probably you can add on...
It should be interesting...
Nice blog,made me think.

Shruti.
